Fluxuan Linux Snapshot

Fluxuan-Snapshot
A simple bash script with whiptail that will create a clone / copy of your live installed System.
Fluxuan-Snapshot will let you to chroot to add / remove packages if you forgot something, you can add a splash.png image to your grub if you prefer otherwise your boot menu will have a simple black background.
Depending on the size of your system and Machine the squashing of the file might take a very long time or just a few minutes so the loading bar might stop for a while at 100% until it finishes so do not worry and wait.
At the end of all the process, in your "Home" Directory, you will find a folder named "fluxuan_snapshot" with your .ISO file, the clone of your system and boot related files.
Fluxuan-Snapshot can be used on all Devuan / Debian based operating systems.
If you know a little about Bash Scripting then you can easily adapt it for any other package manager by changing apt with pacman for arch or whatever in the same time the packages will need changing as they are in your Repository.
Fluxuan-Snapshot is very easy to use, it will ask for a Host-name, ISO-name and Disk-Name nothing else.
Fluxuan-Installer is not ready yet, but it will become available in the next few days.

Fluxuan Linux new Forums

Hello and nice to see you all, even if it did pass some time since I managed to update / write something this is what is new :
A support forum is up and running at https://forums.fluxuan.org.
Even if you see that at this time there are no posts feel free to open new Topics.
A Category named "International" was added so you can write in your own language just select "International" as Category, I will use some Translation services for Reply just don`t be upset with me for grammar mistakes.
I will be there almost every Day checking to see how I can Help you in your Problems.
Yes I am working on the new Fluxuan Release and as a hint what will be new in :
1) Automatic right click menu, that means that programs you install or remove will be added or removed from your menu without making you create or remove entry`s.
2) Wbar was replaced by Plank even if that sacrifices about 10-15mb of memory due to the drag and drop system to add Icons and or Remove them and a "Ctrl + Right Click over it will take you to Preferences" where you can change themes and or make it how you like it.
3) Arandr and Nitrogen have been Removed instead a little bash script will set your Resolution and feh your Backgrounds this decision was taken due to changing Wbar with Plank, had to reduce some memory so that even if Plank takes more I gave it from Nitrogen so you can enjoy the same amount.
4) A new Cli installer that will only ask about 5 questions and will do everything for you and Your new Fluxuan Machine will be Ready to use.

Devuan GNU+Linux OS
An Operating System (OS) is a set of programs that provides an interface to the hardware part of the computer: resource, device, power, andmemory management belong to the OS.
The core of the OS in charge of operating the circuitry and managing peripherals is called the kernel.
Devuan comes with the Linux kernel. The first process launched after the kernel is loaded into memory is called init.
This process bearing PID 1 is in charge of services running on thesystem: it ensures they start in order, verifies they are running fine and shuts them down.
This init process MUST not die, or the whole systemgoes away with it.
Therefore Devuan recommends using lean init systems that do one thing, and do it well.
By default Devuan runs sysvinit but openrc is now an option at installation and other inits such as runit, s6 and sinit are available for development.
Services take care of normal functionality of your system: networking, logging, authentication, language, dictionary, search, software updates,printing, graphical display, etc.
On top of the OS comes applications. Usually, a complete operating system distribution includes a number of pre-configured applications (e.g., the desktop).
The Devuan default desktop is Xfce. Cinnamon, KDE, LXQt and MATE are available from tasksel during installation and a number ofother graphical environments are available post-install.
Fluxbox Window Manager
A stacking window manager for the X Window System, which started as a fork of Blackbox 0.61.1 in 2001, with the same aim to be lightweight.
Its user interface has only a taskbar, and a pop-up menu accessible by right-clicking on the desktop.
